WOAH.

Not for a long time has something off TV been so cathartic and well - I dunno how to say it - shock? Depressing? In a good way.

I won't give it away but episode 4 of The Walking Dead, well even though I've read the comic (not a graphic novel it's a COMIC - renaming it doesn't make it more adult :-P) upto 78 and knew what was going to happen, but it seemed far more shocking and visceral, especially with the additions like in the boat or...well you'd have to watch it ;-)

Strangely I can only find the spanish version of Episode 4 teaser....

Reading the latest Tales in the City book, Mary Ann in Autumn and 2nd chapter there is this very funny and true quote - Armistead's not lost it:

"[Michael] had once remarked that the most hidebound of bears, the ones that invoked manhood in beards, suspenders and long-johns, had a penchant for cramming their homes with juvenilia: mid-century cookie jars and Disney figurines under glass domes."

I can hardly ever have a decent normal conversation with a older bears re: pop or modern music.

I apparently am a bitch* and ageist and don't know what I'm talking about. *Sigh*.

Back to my two much older partners who listen to Handel, Wagner and suchlike, or aren't really into music. So much safer...cos I know little about those. Apart from Bach and Wagner who I mostly hatehatehate. Well only bits of them.

I do hold strong views re: music having written, podcasted, listened, watched, DJ'd etc for years...but strange how it just reverts to age. I thought that had passed years ago. Happy to argue the toss, but strange how people immediately get defensive and offensive.

But me? Ageist? Really?

*irony of a supposedly butch looking man in redneck bubba drag living in NYC choosing to call me a bitch, well...choice of that word confirms that in this case I see Tarzan and most definitely hear Jane.
