Reading the latest Tales in the City book, Mary Ann in Autumn and 2nd chapter there is this very funny and true quote - Armistead's not lost it:
"[Michael] had once remarked that the most hidebound of bears, the ones that invoked manhood in beards, suspenders and long-johns, had a penchant for cramming their homes with juvenilia: mid-century cookie jars and Disney figurines under glass domes."
