fingertrouble: (Default)
Ever since visiting friends in Detroit (9 mile?, Plymouth although I think they moved or are moving) I've been entranced by the history and dereliction of Detroit. Here in the UK although we have more long-term history, the lack of space means really you don't have the sparse dereliction and empty 'lots' for very long - someone will come and use it at some point, even if it's to run it as a car park, or a second hand furniture warehouse, or storage or the like.

Nothing like this:

I saw some of this but my hosts kept me away from places like this and downtown...probably for good reason unless you have local knowledge, and even then...(via boing boing)
fingertrouble: (Radio Clash Podcast from a Pirate Satell)
Well not that important, but there's a special edition of Radio Clash launching at 9pm tonight...it's a sort of simulcast situation, with A.N. Other - well you'll hear what's going on at 9pm... think it might be a podcasting first though.

*cue swirly clouds of mystery!* :-D
