Interestingly I first tried the other one that's doing the rounds and disappointedly couldn't hear a thing. 'Oh fuck my ears ARE shot' I thought - I tend to listen to music far too loud later in the day and when drunk.
But then I realised the sound was turned off, LOL.
I can only just hear it - this site is a bit crap cos you can hear the click start and end which warns you, higher ones I can't hear at all. Dunno if headphones is cheating but my laptop speakers wouldn't even emit some of these frequencies I'm guessing (and these phones only go up to so many kHz - 19 or 20khz I think, but my hearing tops out before then).
Interestingly I am asthmatic and asthmatic children are prone to hearing ultrasonic frequencies over 20khz. I was tested as a kid and couldn't hear any...natch.

You are an easily repelled teenager |
The mosquito device was made for the likes of you. You are probably begging to make the noise stop! The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 18.8kHz |
Find out which ultrasonic ringtones you can hear! |

Date: 2009-02-27 09:48 am (UTC)I came out of the last concert I went to (Dropkick Murphys three weeks ago) and it took about 4 days for things to get back to normal. My right ear sounded like a broken speaker for 2 of those days.
Frankly it was a bit of a wake up call.
