Current score is that last week I found a 20 Pound Note (+1) and got asked to do a spot on Resonance FM - later in April (+1) but then I thought I'd lost John's keys (-1), which then turned up (+1), Kirk delayed the podcast further (-1) but I got some nice feedback on Shows 68 and 69 (+1) which one ended with the phrase "Please reduce your repetition of the sound "um." I know it will be difficult, but I also know you can do it."* (-1). :-(

I think my current Karma is in + but I'm really not sure...

'Flux' seems to be the word of the moment.

* BTW this is a fairly usual occurence, I think people assume I can just decide to um and err less and it's easy to 'switch off'. :-( TBH although I know it's a rather extreme reaction but I'd rather stop doing it than go through the stress of trying not to um and err. The comments strangely depress me tho, probably because I can't easily do anything about it; and partly they don't understand the nature of podcasting - it's not radio and doesn't need radio production values, and I don't have time for that anyway - if that was the case I'd stop doing it; or do it every 2-4 weeks.

It's why I dropped the mashup and trying to drop the word 'show' everywhere, if any of you noticed. I don't want to do a 'show' anymore, I want to do an audioblog or podcast. Shows are what old media does.

oh someone already did that - show 62 or 63 :-D They sent me 4 minutes of my umming and erring from Show 61. So I played it in show 63 (I think)

Really some of my fans have TOO much time on their hands!

I have just read your edit so that warrants another comment.

Dude - don't let one semi negative comment stop you from doing what you are doing. You have thousands of people that are listening to your shit and they are loving it! One person that wants you to the for over styled DJ can go and fuck themselves! It's a podcast, blog, show, mashup - whatever YOU want to call it! Just look at the positive comments and ignore the bad cause they outwiegh and outnumber them! Anyway, if the umms and arrs were so bad, Resonance FM would have hardly been in touch!

But if it does bother you too, you can always edit those out, it's a pain and it might sound a bit choppy but really, I don;'t think you need to worry about it mate!

I've been meaning to post about the podcasts that I have been enjoying over the past few weeks, that have been there through some emotional times and just generally made me glad to be alive. Yup, Radio Clash did this. You had me smiling at the beginning of '69' this morning on a shitty, packed, smelly tube and that was going into work after a very grim day yesterday. Just banging this out over a coffee instead of actual lunch in the midst of chaos - so THANKS !!!!!!
