new CD purchases

fingertrouble...yes I know I said I'd not buy any more CDs...
I went to SisterRay just to buy the Rough Trade Counter Culture 05 (I have the frst one 02 and was the first appearance of a little band called Futureheads, a track not released anywhere else called Robot)and someone called Wild Bunch, soom to be Electric Six - nah never heard of them again either...) so they're good. Listening so far and the first half of CD1 is uber-fashiobale but incredibly boring acousticky stuff (oh dear I missed Clap Your Hands and Spinto band, I really didn't notice...*yawn*), but after the Low and the electronic stuff kicks in some interesting stuff, like Princess Superstar's new one about fame which is playing now. Ooh Smoosh, nice. Me likee, will fit in great with a alt.rap show I'm planning.
Also this is the first appearance on CD of THAT Erol Alkan Franz Ferdinand mix...
EDIT Just finished CD1 and the last half is AMAZING - I've mentioned Katzenjammers before, but the David Shrigley, Smoosh, Princess Superstar all have a high possibility of play on Radio Clash...CD2 starts with (very cute) Steve Stapleton aka Nurse With Wound...:-D
And came out with a few more CDs than expected:
BOD! yes Bod music and words is now available on CD, and it's 40 years since Bod came a walking down...how could I NOT buy this? Class!
Venetian Snares - Chocolate Wheelchair - this was playing in the store and I don't usually buy impulse purchases but this was classic mad-in-your-face broken beat/breakcore bollox drum and bass madness. Play loud - remains to be seen if it stays but I did rush to the counter to ask expecting this to be Shitmat, but gladly without the homophobic source material (which is why I won't buy or use Killababylonkutz)
Monsters of Mashup - partly got this for the utterly brilliant 'My Cock is an Aardvaark' - no none of this censored 'Chicken' biznizz here, sorry US folks it's COCK! COCK! COCK! More breakcore madness from Shitmat, Bong-Ra and Enduser. I thought at least it'll be a collectors item but I'm planning to DJ 'My Cock...' anyway just to get a reaction...
Yes the aforemetioned Shitmat with Full English Breakfast - classic, a much downloaded and played on Radio Clash album so I'm finally buying it so I can annoy people with it on the dancefloor...amd it is great; the 'Theme from the 1988 Morris Dancer Massacre', 'Dis Dancehall Ting Is Better Than That T.V. Ting Tony', 'There's No Business Like Propa' Rungleclotted Mashup Bizznizz' and 'UK Swampcore Sucks in Comparison to Techstep New Wave Psy-Jungle' - not only great titles but great tunes too. Shitmat like Bong-ra is not afraid to either sample or drop in tunes into the total madness so you get BOTH for yer money, rather than a the more po-face d'n'b electronica acts...
I *almost* bought Coldcut's newie and Immortal Technique, but without hearing more I'm really wary...I've been stung before on Ninjatunes/CCut releases, and I need to hear more Immortal Technique.
