Medium format - I suppose those digital people will look blankly at this point, but really NOTHING looks like medium format images, let alone film ones.

I have yet to try medium format yet and I really need to. One of these days, I'll either luck into an inexpensive used one-or I'll just take the plunge and try out a Holga/Diana, type jobber, or I'll swipe one of my roommie's vintage Brownie cameras and take it for a test drive.

Well worth it...but you can get cheap MF gear (why does it alway sound rude when you say that?) here was I think a Mamiya TLR and they are DEAD cheap sometimes, depends on age and where you buy. Totally mechanical too.

645/6x7 cameras with single lens can be deadly expensive though, like the Pentax or Mamiyas, still made I think (?) and the single lens Mamiyas are cool yet like the Hassleblads seem to retain their price :-(

If it's really cheap I'd go for the Chinese Seagull TLR - but really at the price of a new one you might be able to get an old 120 TLR or Box camera...age is not a problem as long as it works and you can get the film :-)

Mamiya is a good make.

*chuckle* don't I know it-I'm still rocking out my Pentax 110 SLR and will continue to until Kodak stops making the film, and even then, I'll probably just slice and roll my own!
