Parkade Shop Bois (and Girls) - Finally PSB's set

Yes we're doing a special gig at the Parade in Second Life on the 10th - themed around the work of the Pet Shop Boys and called 'Finally'. I'll be Djing from 2-4pm SL( 10-12pm BST) as DJNoNo Ulysses, and Amanda Shinji aka Ms Cyberpink will be DJing from 4-6pm (12-2am BST).

Expect loads of Pet Shop Boys tracks, covers, remixes, mashups, collaborations, rarities, the lot!

Hmm OK, 3 different people using Twitter in so many days. This is worrying - aka THE TWITTERBORG IS COMING!

Why?

Well sit down children, I'll tell you a story...

Well you might remember this thing called podcasting. It had a scene, full of interesting people, things, the things that were people. People that used to meet and exchange witty repartee over canapes, endless social engagements and ballroom dances, that sort of thing. And then *DAH DAH DAAAAH!!!!* (that's the evil squirrel music of this story) the TwitterBorg came and swallowed them all up, one by one.

"It's so useful" they said. GULP SNAP it was too late.
"I can post about how many things I have in my washing up bowl" BITE SNAP, gone
"I can post my shopping list!" GROWL BURP, never to be seen again.

And the moral of this story?

Twitter, as in the immortal words of Time Bandits, is evil, pure evil, don't touch it.*



* Unless you really have to know how many donuts someone has had of a morning, or what they are doing RIGHT NOW GODDAMMIT. Then you should step AWAY from the computer, and go see professional help...
