I hope the russians love their children too....LOL

Yeah as you might have guessed I'm less than hair-on-fire over selling LJ to the Russkis, enough of them in London a few here won't bother me and all the Russians on the breakcore list I am on must be happy.

But that said this post and it's responses is pretty funny in a LJ DRAMA!!! type way, and it does seem they did a cut and run over the fanfic and flagging things, it does indeed take the piss to have a 'party'.

Hmm. Not good to leave LJ in such a mess, methinks. That response does seem very like 'seeya! HAHAHAA!' *cackling while running away*. At least very bad timing...

That said I wouldn't want to be employed to HAVE to pay attention to the worriers, moaners and bleaters on here. Christ it gets a bit much sometimes.

Everything is different
How did I end up here?
Where are the trumpets?
Why don't the people cheer?

...

And all the birds are singing
Pretty little songs

Remember the good that people used to do
Yet we must search for

from [personal profile] reslbear Look up the place where you were born on Wikipedia and post 5 facts about it that people may not know.

Royton in Manchester - quite important historically cos:

1. Royton is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham in Greater Manchester, England

2. Royton has the distinction of being the world's first town where a cotton mill was built; at Thorp in 1764 (that's actually the place I come from in Royton too, the nearest small village!)

3. The BNP began contesting elections in Royton after major race riots in neighbouring Oldham in 2001, and has since shown to be amongst Labour's main local opposition in the two wards. However, the BNP have not won a seat.

4. The Royton War Memorial is found at the summit of Tandle Hill, and is dedicated to the men of Royton who gave their lives during the First World War. It is an obelisk that had a sculpture of winged victory on it. Commissioned by the Royton War Memorial Committee and unveiled on October 22, 1921, by the Earl of Derby. (I remember this memorial)

5. Royton's library was donated by Andrew Carnegie in 1911

Yeah pretty boring huh?
