The ruined royal pier

As well as the famously burnt down Grand Pier, there is the forgotten Royal Pier to the north which is in ruins.
Plans are afoot to renovate Birnbeck Island (as it is) though, although the fate of the now also burnt out Royal Pier Hotel next to it is unknown (to me at least).
