Since when has Gaydar been so restrictive?

Looks like links to your LiveJournal links are out (that's what they took off), also not sure if mentioning I'm DJing (promotion) even though it's not by way of 'spam email' could be out also (they didn't take that off?). They filter dates like 10/04/06 or 10.23.05 I assume to block phone numbers but it's annoying.
So keeping customers on the site with no off-bound links is good for business then? Ignoring the fact that's how the rest of the web works? They just want to keep you on the site, using their limited messenger system and chat rooms - but filtered so you can't actually pass on the details.
It just makes me use them less tbh. because I don't have time to chat with the kiddies in the bear room, or troll through profiles and msg people.
