Do you mean the original posters or the 'remixes'

The original posters are part of a long time campaign - the worst one so far is the one about people having 2 mobiles = terrorists, and the 'photographing something suspicious'

It's now illegal to photograph a policeman/woman, even at a protest (and I'd guess that is or will be extended to army, forces and civil servants)...ID cards are on the way and they have a massive DNA database which the EU has ruled illegal. MPs tried to hide their own expenses while snooping on other's taxes/expenses or in my case cancelling most of them. Oh and I think it eventually got overruled (?) but it was illegal to protest within a mile or two of Westminster. Councils are using the terrorist spying laws to find out if people are putting their rubbish out correctly.

So if it's the first one, the answer is yes. Police state is on it's way.

I haven't seen any anti-terrorist campaigns here. During the holiday season they had a campaign for buying gifts/using your credit card carefully.

Here in Spain ID cards are needed when you use a credit/debit card. They don't provide ID cards to residents who are EU citizens, so Brits are out of luck. Because I am from the New World, I have resident permit ID card and I use that.

On TV when the police are hauling away an ETA suspect, the police wear masks. When they are jailing politicians you can see their faces. Often you can hear bystanders applauding.

I'm not sure what "putting rubbish out correctly" means. We have those various colored bins for recycling, but people also put bags on the sidewalk for nightly pickup. You'd be surprised what you see tossed on the sidewalk sometimes.

Just that - rubbish being put in the wrong bin - councils are using the anti-terrorist laws to spy on people who are putting their rubbish in the wrong bins, or their neighbour's bins. Or to check if parents actually live near a school if they are moving in just before term. Or littering.

These laws were supposed to be to stop terrorists, not go after litterers and parents!
