Best animation EVAH:

I knew the 'My spoon is big' bit - I suspect from some cutup video mix or something (United States of Television?) but not the rest. Very funny, and was nominated for Best animated short film Oscar in 2000.

According to Wikipedia, that arsefountain of all knowledge 'but has to date never been broadcast on American television' WTF? So taking the piss out of advertising and the media - and Jesus - in a way that is actually no more violent than Tom and Jerry and it never gets shown. Hmm.

Strange that the US likes to import it's surreal humour via 'Monny Pythown' (sorry it's pronounced Pythun :-P) and UK imports but then ignores it's own often brilliant surreal humourists. Odd.

Well, part of the problem is, there's really no venue on US TV for these shorts. Don's basically a one man distributor with very limited output. The best he can do, which is not inconsiderable, is in the US there are plenty of traveling animation shows that go from city to city to art houses and colleges-things like Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festivals. Network television here simply isn't all that into indie cartoons with content. A rare exception is Robert Smigel who gets his animated shorts onto "Saturday Night Live"-his stuff is quite good, but he's the exception.
