I've setup the 'Best' set in Flickr, which includes what I think to be my best photographs so far, well of the ones I've shared online, anyway (there are about 10,000+ film ones that have never been scanned!).

Quite hard for me to choose, I'm very picky technically but also have to see the other side that some pictures transcend that criteria - even if I can see in my head the picture I saw at the time, and the photo doesn't measure up. I'm sure all serious photographers get this.

I definately get similar "Oh that looks a good shot..." moments, and then get disappointed when I get the results. Conversely I often get moments where I get great pics totally at random. And then a lot of moments inbetween.

BTW Love the club pics from "Bastard"! Similar to the kind of thing I'm trying to acheieve with my club photgraphy (http://www.flickr.com/photos/alephnaught/sets/72157613485242739/).

Nice club pictures...yeah the 'flash and blur' as I call it is quite a random technique, I call it Guerilla Photography after Hunter S's Guerilla Journalism - literally I've had my Nikon raving and dancing and pogoing on the dancefloor and firing off pictures. It's a random technique but it occasionally brings up something amazing - and like war journalists I don't see how you can't be the centre of the action and expect to get good pics :-)

I rarely do posed pics unless it's people I know; that is an art in itself - the good posed picture in crap light circumstances!

And random happens quite often, it's nice to look back at pics taken years ago and spot something amazing you missed first time, and realise that set of pics weren't the total bust you thought they were!
