The legend of Einstein on the Beach was EPIC back in the 80's when I first saw Glass perform live (not the opera, just performance at a small venue in LA). I read that they might try to restage Einstein on the Beach sometime soon in NYC but who knows.
Actually Ananda Shankar is Ravi's nephew. Ravi Shankar's well-known offspring is the product of an out of wedlock relationship. Her name is Nora Jones. ;-)
