To Brussels With Love

I'm going to be in Brussels from tommorow and am looking for recommendations for what to see. I've never been.

So apart from the Rue Manchester (if I can find the old Le Disques Crepuscule cafe and offices) and pissing boy, what to do? Will also be in Bruges on Saturday.

I have my supervisors Xmas do up the Essex Road from 7:30pm...but could try to pop my head round the door before...or after...(forgot about this when we spoke).

Oh it was on Facebook, I remember now. Gah. I hate Facebook events as I never go near FB that often...LJ is much more likely for me to remember...

If I'm in Brussels, then the answer obviously is 'no' - coming back this Sunday. Was do this or not go away at all til spring/summer next year...and I'm getting so bored of London, need to get away for a bit.

Thanks - sorry I forgot it was the same weekend...:-( I would've liked to have gone but going Thursday and coming back Sat with John working Thurs and Fri wouldn't really have worked...

There's the Grand Place, to walk around (it's nice indeed), find the Manekken pis statue (it's small) and, ASBOLUTELY, you must eat a "mitraillette". It's a half baguette filled with watever cheap meat they have, then a portion of chips on it and some weird sauce - dare to try. It's also cheap. The best fritkot is near La Bourse

sounds good...apart from the sauce. Almost guaranteed to be something I don't like. Sauces and me are like that.
