If you're thinking of upgrading to CS3, especially Flash, please don't unless you want issues like these or worse. srlsy.
Just spent the last few days at work where I started on CS3 trial and went back to Flash 8 and it's actually not only impossible to completely uninstall CS3 so IT gave me a new machine (!) but the file did weird things in the Flash 8 standalone player and in Flash - visually corrupted animations when you preview. Again a CS3 issue, I had to copy all of the library items into an older non-corrupted file.
Also saving back to Flash 8 from CS3 odd stuff can happen, like elements moving in a movieclip - I've had that happen too, and verified it wasn't myself going mad...
