Nearly got run over this morning by a rogue dfs lorry who did a right turn under the railway bridge into a sidestreet without bothering to look; I was crossing the sidestreet, looked everywhere but there as there was oncoming traffic I wasn't expecting a lorry driving way too fast to cross the traffic and pull into the sidestreet fast and nearly clip me, and beep at me doing it.

Gave him the finger and had a frank exchange of words where he accused me of jaywalking - I wasn't aware that was an offence here (it isn't) but it is against the law or at least the highway code to pull into a sidestreet without checking it is clear, and not watch out for pedestrians.

So I took the reg and phoned up dfs head office and told them what had happened ;-) Oh I can be a vindictive bitch if crossed....

good for you! they will do bugger all of course. but still
