Walk today Eastbourne to Cuckmere Haven

Walked 10 odd miles over the cliffs at Eastbourne (the strangely maligned) Beachy Head, Belle Tout lighthouse, Birling Gap, Crosslink to Seven Sisters and then Cuckmere Haven to Exceat. Basically this walk in reverse - wanted to walk to Seaford too, but it was getting late and I mistakenly didn't know you can't ford the stream - damn you Googlemaps! So i took the bus to Seaford and the train - good thing, I think I might have run it tight with train connections back.

Was a massive Spanish exchange student group going the other way -in fact they were all going the opposite direction - but after Belle Tout I saw no-one so saw a lot of wildlife. Saw waves of rabbits run as I came over a hill, loads of birds, inquisitive sheep and lambs, coooows who thankfully weren't inquisitive but the flies were annoying, and loads of flowers and birds.

Sweat rash is ouch and feetsies hate me but a great day and probably one of the longest walks I've done in a long while - I usually do 2-5 mile ones.

Here are some pics - with a strange techy question - why is all Tumblr apps have problems uploading and LJBeetle which uses old LJ and Imageshack is a cinch? Oddness. I did take some 'proper' pictures with my 'proper' camera - this is all HTC - which hopefully you'll see quicker than the last Beachy Head set I never posted...



Weather was good enough, not exactly sunny but very warm to take my top off...only the rabbits to scare, really!
