The darkness of Syncopated City is result apparently of Tony Colman being ill with a nerve problem in his neck and needing operations to fix it, being on heavy painkillers, and Lianne the singer wrote this beautiful yet dark song over it.

This is the man who went from playing keyboards in D-Ream to first class physics degree and Phd, and also is working at CERN on the LHC and said about the black hole thing:

'Anyone who thinks the LHC will destroy the world is a twat.'

Respect. And he comes from my home town of Oldham. I like him already...:-D
