Oct. 16th, 2008 10:55 amIt's been remarked before that the internet works on playground principles and it's true.
It always amazes me that people can say really hurtful things, play really dirty, but when you wrestle with them and go too far they stomp off and say 'not fair! I'M NOT PLAYING!'. If they'd been so sensitive to begin with, they'd have realised that picking a fight might not be such a wise thing to do (and no I'm not talking the 'incomplete medium' accidental thing, I'm talking the 'pull you down and roll in the dirt' fight picking).
Which is strange as in the other playground ephiphet, 'well you started it'. *shrugs*
Well I suppose the person left standing has won, maybe the first one to cry is the loser like the playground? If so I have a special gift in pushing the right button when someone has a go...yay me!
Err...

Big Brother and Mickey
Oct. 16th, 2008 11:37 am"People have many accounts and sign up as Mickey Mouse and no one knows who they are", a senior Whitehall security source said. He added: "We have to do something."
WTF? Another database with information they will promptly lose/leave on a train?
Oh an aside I've meant to write about for ages - remember that evil company I used to work for? Well karma came around, and bit their arses. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Criminal justice, youth justice and home office work was a big part of their income, a big growth sector when other sectors stopped using consultants or cut back. They were behind the privatisation of the tube, amongst other lovely things, and apparently ID cards too.
Maybe not anymore...couldn't happen to a nicer company!
