Coming out
Oct. 12th, 2006 12:03 amI wasn;t going to do this, but since it's now 3 minutes past Coming Out day, I'll share.
First coming out - totally screwed up by Kirk coming out to me. It's MY SPECIAL DAY RIGHT? Pah.
Dad - responds 'I know' and points out all the stress-inducing times he mentioned girlfriends and marriage was just trying to prompt me to do so. Yeah *right*...
Mum - almost crashes the car. Only told her in the car since I was worried she'd strand me where she lives and the railway station is many miles away...then proceeds after to then try and set me up with every Bangladeshi/Indian boy she meets on her travels cos she doesn't like me dating older men. There are very good reasons I describe her as 'that bitch' you know...
And the thing that freaked my parents most? Not being gay, but liking men much older than myself. 'Oh they'll take advantage of you'....cue evil laugh from me, little did they know what I was like upto 30 (kid and candy store comes to mind!).
