I hate messageboards
Oct. 5th, 2006 04:02 amI really must stop hanging around messageboards again, I'm fed up with the inane stupidity of a few select people, who seem to always jump to the wrong conclusion whatever and how carefully I write. (Hence the previous rant about not wanting to self-censor - it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't thing sadly).
In a discussion about students on a messageboard I frequent, my words were misinterpreted. After explainations etc. even from third parties who understood what I was saying, it seemed to be getting relaxed again, so I mentioned John's response to one of the other posts about students which I mentioned to him last night in passing (he thinks they're lazy, and want it all on a stick, basically).
So one of the people who I wasn't responding to, who mistook my words earlier (and called me a cunt earlier in the thread) then chooses to call John an 'uninspired cunt', the sort that put him off lecturers.
Some people don't get it - that they are fucked up, not the world. Projection, projection, projection.
The offence caused, well my fault for mentioning John I suppose, but this person gets an /ignore and off my buddy list. Just depresses me though that people haven't got the courtesy not to do something like that, or at least phrase it a little less well, cuntily.
Call me anything, be my guest, I don't really care, I've grown used to people calling me all sorts and defaming my name on various parts of the Net - sometimes I deserve it, sometimes not *shrug*.
But slag off my partner or friends with no real reason, then you can go to hell.
At least the new ignore function works and I don't have to read his words again! Yay!
