iTunes sucks
Mar. 30th, 2006 07:48 pmSo installed iTunes and all the crap so I could install music on Charles (sadly still looks like it's broken :-( and it keeps popping up every five minutes for no reason despite me disabling the iTunesHelper (a euphemistically and ironically named piece of nag/spyware if ever I saw one) and telling it not to run in the taskbar, it still pops up...I even told it not to associate with soundfiles and no podcasts downloading so I've got no idea why it's so persistent.
And iTunes update nuked Miguel, the miniMac...the dock disappeared and I had to reinstall everything after allowing an update to iTunes6...shit, total shit Apple.
I hope the Beatles crucify you!
It was reasons like this I got rid of Quicktime - sorry QXbear but it was doing crazy shit like this then, but I discovered Quicktime Alternative, and Media Player Classic - video players with all the bloatware crap taken out. Recommended.
How I hate Apple software and hardware, almost as much as the Applevangelists who go on about it.
They should be forced to work on the fucking things every week...on an old G3 or G4 as I do quite often, not a shiny new G5 or wIntel iMac. Then they'd change their 'oh so creative' tune as Macromedia or Illustrator crashes for the 1,000th time; or they get total freezes, or the monitor won't switch back on...
