Face of Leonardo?

Not sure of the methodology (would like to see the 'ugly' ones he rejected; he says he's qualified but how - Renaissance ideas of beauty were more complex or at least different to today).
I think it is likely Vitruvian man could be him, for what is the easiest study for something like that? Yourself. And I always believe the older study was him.
But he does have a point, it's very unlikely that Leonardo DaVinci never used his own portrait in his works, all his contemporaries did, either as self portraits or putting themselves in their own pictures in the crowd (Raphael liked doing that a lot). All artists know - the easiest and most readily available model is yourself.
