fingertrouble: photography (behind camera)
[personal profile] fingertrouble
Following on from the previous post, looking at the negs from that 'cross process' session I have a whole 36 prints from that and some other great pictures. This is not unusual, doing the C&G course I usually only paid for dev + contact prints and printed the good ones, but I had little time in the printing sessions, so many remained unprinted.

So anyone know a cheap printing/developing place in/near London (the UK one, for those not paying attention)? (emphasis on cheap. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP - I have little money atm and thus might not do it now. Will wait years for them to arrive back, no hurry etc. but good - ie. does not wreck your negs, does not add loads of creative 'dust' to the prints, does not add black spots or lines to the negs - yup had all of those).

I used to go to Imagecare in Kingston - those prints of Kirk were done there - and they were brilliant. Sadly like Metro they are long gone, the recession seemed to hit photo people first, as has the digital revolution :-(

I have loads of bits of film IHNI what is on too - about 20 rolls. Love to develop them but don't want to pay loads for what might be a film full of fogged pics, or nothing. So a cheap yet not crappy developing place would be wicked.

And don't say 'Boots' - since them losing my unreplaceable South Africa photos in 2004 when going against my wishes and sending them out to Kodak thus never to return - well let's just say I'm not fond of them. Even if they did compensate me to the tune of £150 I'd rather that never happen again...
