The Vatican is run by Opus Dei (and I got that from my late friend who was a member of the Catholic church and who knew)and any left leaning, socially aware priests or monks are quashed internally. The ones who were trying to work within poverty stricken communities genuinely for the people (in South American countries Catholic priest can be very Left)are being taken from their parishes and sent to where they cannot threaten whatever is the status quo in that country.
Besides, the Catholic Church is having to brainwash and recruit from the poor in the Far East who will willingly adhere to any old bollocks in the hope of a better life and some form of education. The amount of new, educated inductees is at an all time low.
I did always like, however, that Father Henry, of no small endowment, was always either naked or wearing a jock strap beneath his habit.
I always try to see members of the clergy as sex objects. It is the best form of revenge.
