Finally found the wrost lyrics ever - 'All I Can Do' by The Cars. I have a frankly awful cover of it by a terrible band, The Bravery:

Sixth form poetry at it's worst, and most of the non-sequiturs don't make sense (well, being the nature of non-sequiturs, but these take a detour down the byelanes of inanity and then stops at the cul-de-crass to visit at the House of the Failing Pun...)
