ooh new shiny shiny toy...replacing my battery hogging Olympus i sold recently on eBay, the battery hogging camera I got a tiny small Canon IXUS 80IS and am really happy with it...the video works surprisingly well, and the quality is good esp. the Image Stabilisation and Flash.

It's funny I only swear by (not at, although sometimes) Nikon for serious pro cameras, but in the low cheapie end the Nikon cameras really don't cut it - the cheaper Nikon Coolpix had a not as good screen and no viewfinder; and was plastic not metal, just didn't feel like I could do good pics with it...whereas the Canons I know well, I had a Powershot A70 for many years til it gave up the ghost.

Here's an example of it I took today in the rare sunshine:





In other news my dad dropped over my stuff from Redlands, the last buyer dropped out and he's now got another one...so my flat is now bulging at the seams with stuffs:
