Kind of cool weekend, starting out with seeing the Laban dancers (pictured) prancing around the V&A and new garden there...saw the Modernism exhibition, was kind of cool although it's very well tread ground and thought it really didn't add anything new...

Saturday went down to my dad's in Surrey with John, had a great meal from Christine, his partner at her house...not much else to report except Spanish Cava can be delicious. Oh and I'm allergic to my dad's house, or Surrey, or both.

Sunday we went touring down to Bignor Roman Villa - should post some pics here off my Flickr of the amazing mosaics...2nd/3rd century.

We then went touring round loads of boring churches as I got hungrier and hungrier (ie grumpy) but took some great pics of the church near there, the candles, outside, and details...not a big church fan but they used candles for their services...respect!

Came back Sunday night and went with Kirk to Marvellous/Anthem night at CRASH in Vauxhall...Certainly it was odd seeing all the muscle bear drugbunnies dance with their hands in the air in the Anthem room to extremely hard house/techno with their tops off and off their tits on ketamine or e (or maybe crystal?) while some diva wailed tunelessly on and on and on and on and the strobe machine went critical.

Another world.

Another drug habit?

Music was good in places, but the worst was a bear DJ...OK US DJ Bears close your eyes/ears now, but in the UK the worst DJs I've seen have been scene/bear DJs. Makes me embarassed to ever tell people I have DJ'd on the scene...the guy couldn't mix (not a reason for being a bad DJ) but more importantly played loads of hi-nrg circa 1984 and loads more obscure disco...not fun.

Still saw a few people I hadn't seen for ages...and Kirk got a shag out of it :-D

Monday was spent recuperating, going for a drink with [livejournal.com profile] tga at the KA and doing a bit of work.

A good weekend, all in all...reminds though I can only cope with Surrey in small doses.

Which is good since John's leg is getting no better and looks like it is permanent (hence the All tears image is reference to him). Sigh...he looks so old and ill in the pictures I take of him. It's depressing.
