I deleted my FB account because of the incessant banality and the whole creepy lack of privacy thing. Twitter might be good for comedians or roving reporters in danger zones but the word limit necessitates a pithiness and writing talent most people don't have. Both are essentially PR. Seems everyone these days wants attention with very little effort made. Misanthrope that I am I don't see many people warranting it. It seems those that want 'attention' are usually the ones complaining about LJ anyway. No loss.
