Pet Shop Boys (& Lady GaGa and Brandon Flowers) Brit Awards

They were talking about this at work today (not surprising, a lot of their acts won awards) so I checked it on YouTube:

Surprisingly despite the tuning stuff, Brandon is quite good in it, and Lady GaGa not bad - interesting and quite sweet how both of them look totally chuffed to be on stage with the Pet Shop Boys.

Not as impressive as their live tour or the mashups/medleys they do on that, still an interesting performance despite Neil's voice being a bit off (?)

And the irony of the new single vs that nobodies like Duffy and Katy Perry won, well it was delicious and you could see that in Neil's expression:

(Don't have to be)
A big bucks Hollywood star
(Don't have to drive)
A super car to get far
(Don't have to live)
A life of power and wealth
(Don't have to be)
Beautiful but it helps
(Don't have to buy)
A house in Beverly Hills
(Don't have to have)
Your daddy paying the bills
(Don't have to live)
A life of power and wealth
(Don't have to be)
Beautiful but it helps

P.S. new album 'Yes' is released on 23rd March, and Love etc. is on 16th - and as well as Johnny Marr on the new album and working with Xenomania (?!?) apparently the bonus disc has apparently them doing a song with Phil Oakey. I think the term you will find is: SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeee!!!!!!!11

I haven't listened to this because I'm at work and that sort of thing is frowned upon.

The Pet Shop Boys are fantastic, legendary, wonderful, there are not enough words.

I like Brandon Flowers mainly because I think that he is hot. I do like The Killers' music.

Lady GaGa, though...I would be happy if she disappeared forever. And yet it seems that she is always in my face. I won't say that her songs aren't catchy, but personally she is just so annoying. When I see her, I wonder what it's like to look like an aging drag queen when you're a 22-year-old woman. Yes, I'm catty and I hate her.

Oh i feel the same way.

And cos I'm working at Universal Music this week I got the 'delight' of seeing several of her videos and a presskit.

Wasn't impressed.

Ugh. I got the "delight" of seeing her as an opening act. She was wearing baggy white satin underpants and writhing all over her "dancers," all the while holding a pimp cane and wearing video glasses. Not at all impressive.
