So who's on Second Life?

Intrigued by this Second Life virtual space http://secondlife.com/ - I remember doing MUGS and MUDS in the early 90's over Gopher (yeah, pre wide-spread Web :-D and was wondering if any bears or who was on here...?

Looks quite cool on the screenshots but if no-one I know is on there, I'm not really interesting (like LJ these being communal things)

so it's the Sims really.
I might have a go and build a very bearded avatar...but, going by my Sims experience, I probably not last awfully long.
