I saw him at Coachella in 2010, I was a big fan back in the day and I wanted to like his set so much more than I did. His set was very dated but it was still good seeing him, though more as an historical artifact than anything else.
Yes I wasn't impressed with his later more recent work...his 70's work is classic though, but addiction and time really had kicked the shit out of him and his voice. :-(
