I miss you Jim Henson

#2 in a series of soppy posts...

After a heartbreaking post where Big Bird aka Caroll Spinney sings Bein' Green at Jim Henson's Memorial I made the big mistake of watching this other video that came up:

Not Safe For Work...because floods of tears aren't really a good work look. You have been warned...especially 5:10 mark, Just One Person. Don't go there unless you have really understanding co-workers (or are alone).

I really miss Jim Henson...it weird as I grow older I kind of appreciate Sesame Street and the Muppets more than I did as a kid. Weird to think he'd only be 71 now. 53 is far too young.

Ever since he died, if I just think about him long enough, I start to cry. Few "celebrity" deaths hit me like Jim Henson's did. When I was writing an article on the Muppets last year, I cried off and on for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the warning. Luckily I'm alone in the office for awhile so I have time to weep and recover. He is a textbook case of "gone too soon." He accomplished so much in his 53 years and I often wonder what he'd be doing now.
