Having a child has reminded me of these things...she is curious and full of wonder about everything, notices so much that I don't, takes joy in the smallest things. Of course being much closer to the ground than I she spots things like the one tiny rock that looks like a tiger's eye in a pool of gravel.Yes, we're such innately sweet creatures until we get our spirits crushed by the world. I'm going to do my damndest to keep that from her as long as I can, which won't be long enough. I loved to draw as a child, but stopped entirely when I'd gotten enough belittling, sarcastic commentary from my dad (a great cartoonist). Don't play an instrument either although I wanted to...my dad can play nearly any instrument and any song by ear. Hmmm, I see a pattern...

I like this and your other photos of late. Frankly the same touristy statue and old building photos bore me to tears after awhile. I like the microdetails, different angles/perspectives, etc.
