One of Kirk's presents, an authentic Royal Wedding sick bag made and signed by artist Lydia Leith...sums up how I feel about all this weird fake nostalgia and nationalism for a Britain long gone and those street parties and bunting celebrating parasitic people who just were born into money.

Like when Diana died the nation will go mad for a bit and then hopefully return to normality. Grr.

I'm not at all excited about the Royal Wedding.

I am, however, excited about the socks I bought online having been marked as having been shipped!

BTW, I slept through Charles' and Diana's wedding back in 1981. It was a good nap. George
insisted on watching it.
