fingertrouble: (Me Djing 2)
I'm a big fan of the new Petula Clark single, and this remix that I bought the company made a video for it - especially for Valentines Day, and John:

I've been VJing at an event called Kleptonite in Hackney since November, and this was pride of place in the set (themed Computer Love after the Kraftwerk shows and VD) - and yes John was there for the first time ;-) This includes some of the technology (controllers/live VJing stuffs) that I aim to do part or all of what I do in my edited videos live - already play them out and mix video and loops live, but want to go to the next step...most of the 'datamosh'/ ASCII effects in this video was mixed live then edited.

Hope you like it...probably the best thing I've done after the Def Con Wan video - which again I forgot to post here:

which will mean I get about 100 views for it. *sigh* Silly muppets and Gaga shit, 1000s of views. Anything with actual art in it, or time or love - nope. Almost didn't post the Petula one cos I'm rather fed up of the tumbleweed...and mashup/DJ people who don't bother to support your night but then expect you to be all over their shit like flies. Hmm.

/rantover.

Those who like yer Xmas videos might like this - me and Jeb [livejournal.com profile] 50poundnote have created a video for the new remixed version of our TBC Poundsystem track. Seems to go down well ;-) And a lot of fun to do! Inspired by those 80's video art videos, the sort that usually Leigh Bowery appeared in - and of course the original LCD video - and [livejournal.com profile] quirkstreet's pink boa!

If you like it, share it around - and there is a free download of the track and a new instrumental b-side, and four pieces of great art by Jeb - this is the first release on his Kuma-Chan net label.

A lot of my old boots/mashups haven't been online for years - most people don't know I've created something like 50+ mashups as Instamatic since 2003, more as DJNoNo and as tbc and various aliases...there have been quite a few mashups 'retrospectives' recently, and the odd request to find various tracks so here is my Greatest Misses...tracks that fell down the cracks!

Also a few tracks such as the Jump megamix (Jump x2 and Renegade Trouble) and the Too Many Egos haven't been properly released before.

Also includes my first released mashup - FSOL vs Peaches, and the first DJNoNo boot, so you can see how far little I've developed...I did think 'shall I redo some of these?' or fix some of the mistakes I can hear now - I thought not since I hate that when say bands re-release 'tweaked' or 'improved' versions of old songs. Publish and be damned!

Thanks to RevMenagerie who requested my Negativland / String Quartet mashup...

NOTE: Some of these tunes are severely NSFW - especially FCUKK Fashion...
